aised in a suburb of New York City, Renee was exposed to art from childhood, and always wanted to be an artist. Studies included a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology, and a degree in Special Education.

In 1972, Renee moved to Adelaide, South Australia.

 

 

 

 

 





While raising four children, Renee worked as a Special Education teacher. Her specialist area was students with severe behavioural problems.

As time permitted, Renee attended classes at Adelaide Central School of Art (ACSA).
Subjects undertaken included:
Drawing and Painting with Rod Taylor,
Christopher Orchard, and Anna Platten;
Printmaking and sculpture with Johnny Dady, Ammun Luca, and James Martin;
Masterclass in portraiture with Robert Hannaford;
Masterclass in monoprint Painting with Annette Bezor.

From 1999-2003 Renee has been the
co-ordinator for the ACSA Alumni Painting Group Artworks are mainly pastels on paper, and oil paint on canvas.
Works concentrate on nude studies, portraits and the lives of women around the world, from the point of view of a woman artist. Artworks included in private collections in Australia and North America.


Work has been included in many group exhibitions, including numerous ACSA Student exhibitions between 1995-2003 in the Student and Central Galleries, The Hughes Gallery, Fullarton Community Center, and Stressed Out Furniture.

Renee is a long standing member of Zonta International, a service organisation of business and professional women, whose goal it is to advance the status of women worldwide.
